Elon Musk, Tesla CEO and soon to be the sole owner of Twitter has reportedly lined up someone as a new Twitter CEO. Musk also plans to come up with ways to monetise tweets.
Last week, after it was announced that Musk has bought the social media platform, Parag Agrawal, the current CEO of the company said the future of the platform is uncertain. Little did we know that he was referring to himself. Agrawal took over the company after Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey stepped down in November.
According to the news report by Reuters, Musk told Twitter chairman Bret Taylor that he does not have confidence in the company’s management. He plans to make changes and brings the new regime onboard to push his agenda.
It seems like Musk is contemplating a wholesale change once he takes over the social media platform.
The report also suggests the idea of charging a fee when third-party websites quote or embed tweets from verified accounts. Musk also wants to move Twitter away from its reliance and dependence on advertising for much of its revenue.
Lastly, Bloomberg reported job cuts are on Musk’s radar once he takes ownership of the company.
Fun times are ahead at the BIG bird and most loved social media platform on the planet.
