Jack Grealish signs sponsorship deal with PUMA after he dumps Nike

Jack Grealish, Manchester City and England football star is the latest soccer player to join German sportswear giant Puma as a brand ambassador. The move comes after Grealish decided to leave the rival brand Nike.

What does the deal entails?

  • Puma to supply Grealish’s boots and other apparel
  • The 27-year-old will front traditional marketing and social campaigns for the brand
  • Manchester City also have a UK£65 million (US$78.21 million) a year technical partnership with Puma
  • Grealish is represented by International Creative Management (ICM) Partners

According to The Telegraph, Grealish’s Puma contract eclipses the previous highs for a British player. England captain Harry Kane and now-retired Wales star Gareth Bale both earn around UK£4 million (US$4.81 million) annually from their sportswear deals.

For Grealish, the Puma deal adds to an endorsement portfolio that includes Gucci, Bose and Airwayz.
