German Soccer Federation signed three year deal with Google as a new sponsor of its women’s team  

The German Football Association (DFB) has announced Google as a new sponsor of its women’s national team. They signed a three year deal with the technology giant with the aims to increase visibility of women’s football.

National team players will be integrated into Google Pixel marketing campaign, which will feature exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes footage published across multiple platforms.

Google will also be integrated into the DFB’s FF27 strategy, which seeks to promote women’s soccer and women in soccer.

“We are very happy about the partnership with Google and the associated opportunities for our women’s national team,” says Dr. Holger Blask, Managing Director Marketing, Sales & Events at DFB GmbH & Co. KG.

“Google not only brings an extraordinarily strong brand and innovative technologies, but also shares our vision of supporting women in football in Germany. Together we are committed to increasing the visibility and popularity of women’s football, which also makes a valuable contribution to our internal strategy FF27, which aims, among other things, to further develop women’s football in all dimensions and at the same time promote the advancement of women in football.”

The deal includes LED perimeter advertising at national team home games and exposure on interview and press conference backdrops.

The passion of the Germans for football has contributed a lot to this. We’re delighted We are very pleased to enter into a three-year partnership with the German Football Association, under which Google will become the official partner of the women’s national team with Google Pixel. We will work together with the DFB to further promote women’s football in Germany.”
