Prof. Mamokgethi Phakeng has been announced as a keynote speaker at this year’s 2nd Annual Top 16 Youth-Owned Brands Awards. The former University of Cape Town UCT boss and academic will share her social conscience and philanthropy experience with her foundation Adopt A Learner.

The awards are set to take place on the 14 – 15 June at Sandton Convention Centre, Sandton, Johannesburg.
According to the organisers the awards will include a range of activities that celebrate youth culture from talks, entrepreneurship, music and entertainment. Other panel discussion will includes the likes of Thebe Ikalafeng, Ashraf Garda, Khuli Chana, Tshepo Mohlala and Miles Kubheka from Wakanda Food Accelerator.
