Real Madrid break revenue record to top the 2025 Deloitte Football Money League

Spanish giants Real Madrid remain top of the latest Deloitte Football Money League and have become the first soccer club to top €1 billion (US$1.04 billion) in revenue for a single season.

Manchester City stayed second, while Paris Saint-Germain remained third. Manchester United were up one place to fourth and Bayern Munich also rose one place to complete the top five.

Barcelona were sixth, Arsenal seventh, Liverpool eighth, Tottenham Hotspur ninth and Chelsea tenth.

New entrants in the top 20 were Aston Villa and Olympique Lyonnais, who came 18th and 20th respectively.

The 2025 Deloitte Football Money League also showed that matchday revenue for Europe’s 20 biggest-earning clubs surpassed €2 billion (US$2.1 billion) for the first time last season amid fan protests over ticket pricing.

Matchday revenues could be expected to rise sharply again for the current campaign, the first since the expansion of Uefa’s men’s club competitions.

“As competitions expand and create more broadcast and matchday opportunities, these can further increase the earning potential for clubs,” said Tim Bridge, lead partner in the Deloitte Sports Business Group.

“At a time where there is more demand than ever for a greater number of matchdays, this must be balanced with player welfare, as they ultimately bring the on-field success that can earn clubs many further rewards off-field.”
