Mzansi startup Talk360 raises additional $3 million funding to scale its operations

The South African voice-over intent protocol [VoIP] startup Talk360 has managed to raise an additional $3 million in seed round funding, bringing its total investment round to $7 million.

Some of the companies that contributed to the seed funding include Endeavor, Kalon Venture Partners, E4E Africa, Allan Gray E2 Ventures and others. The company will use the money to launch a pan-African payment platform sometime next year and grow its current VoIP market share.

“The new platform will allow users across the continent to buy products and services using any currency and more than 160 payment methods. It will also be opened to other merchants,” said Talk360 in a statement.

The company believes that the current payment options are all over the place and someone must bring it together and create harmony.

“Our mission is to bridge distance and connect lives by offering reliable, affordable, and easy-to-use digital services, delivered in a localised manner to all communities, particularly emerging countries, so they can connect to the world,” said Dean Hiine, co-founder of the company.
