Twitter chief Elon Musk lifted the ban on former US president Donald Trump to rejoin the social media platform following a permanent ban in January 2021.
The move comes after Musk ran a poll asking Twitter users if they should re-instate former POTUS or not, 51.8% voted for Trump to be re-instated on the social media platform.
The make America great again (MAGA) kingpin is not interested in re-joining Twitter, he said he’s happy to stick with his newly launched social media platform, Truth Social.
“I don’t see any reason for it,” the former president said via video when asked whether he planned to return to Twitter by a panel at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual leadership meeting.

Musk last week Friday changed the social media policy to freedom of speech.
“New Twitter policy is freedom of speech, but not freedom of reach,” Musk tweeted yesterday before starting his poll about Trump’s account.
“Negative/hate tweets will be max deboosted & demonetized, so no ads or other revenue to Twitter.”
