Entrepreneur Siya Metane launched SOL Wallet, a fin-tech payment service for artists

Entrepreneur and musician Siyabonga Metane through his music platform SlikourOnLife launched the United States Of Creatives which includes a music distribution service and fin-tech platform.

The United States Of Creatives is a project that aims to unite creatives through fintech products that are tailored for the creative industry. These include SOL Distro and SOL Wallet, which were officially launched not long ago at The Venue in Melrose Arch. It also includes the Blockchain, which will launch in the near future. 

“I have a saying if God created the world, why have we not deliberately created a world for creators or their own state. It’s because the crux of every state is? Finance and Treasury,” Siya Metane.

“On the SlikourOnLife platform, we have artists who upload their music for free download, now they will also be able to do that on our DIY music distribution service called SOL Distro”, he adds.

It’s been said that digital music made close to R1.1 billion last year and most of the money is not immediately claimed by artists, in fact some artists can leave their money for three to five years because they making more money gigging.

Siya asked, “with so much liquid cash, why isn’t the artist community investing in stocks, bonds, giving debt loans to companies at a favourable interest margin or just buying equity in local and global companies?”

According to SlikourOnLife founder, all the artists who’ve opted in who are signed to SOL Distro will now be investors in the economy.
