Spanish soccer club Sevilla FC is working with IBM to integrate generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) into their player recruitment processes.
The LaLiga outfit has worked with the tech giant to create ‘Scout Advisor’ – an intelligent scouting tool that makes use of both conventional AI and Gen AI techniques. The tool (Scout Advisor)uses Watson’s natural language processing (NLP) and foundational algorithmic models to continuously analyse the club’s player database.
Ana Paula de Assis, Chair and General Manager EMEA at IBM, recognises the pride of “collaborating with Sevilla FC to use the full extent of ‘watsonx’ generative AI in order to help and to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the recruitment process. With the correct use, AI continues to change the rules of the game for businesses across all sectors.”
“At IBM we are very excited for this collaboration with Sevilla FC so that we can transform the process of signing new players and unlock the full potential of data analysis. This is a clear demonstration of how ‘watsonx’ can help companies through AI to gain a competitive advantage,” explained Horacio Morell, President of IBM Spain, Portugal, Greece and Israel.
