Indian dairy giant Amul has announced its sponsorship of both South Africa and USA cricket teams for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in June. The partnership underscores Amul’s dedication to supporting cricketing talent from diverse backgrounds and regions.
Is not the first time Amul comes on board to partner with the Proteas, having previously sponsored cricket teams such as the Netherlands, South Africa, and Afghanistan, it continues to expand its global footprint in the sporting arena.
The respective cricket boards of the two teams unveiled the partnership, highlighting Amul’s support for cricketing endeavours on the global stage.

“We are delighted to announce Amul as the team sponsor to the Proteas men’s team for the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and USA,” said Cricket SA.
“The Proteas will kick off their T20 World Cup campaign with three league matches against Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Bangladesh at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York from 3 – 10 June. Their journey then shifts to the West Indies, where they will conclude the league stage with a match against Nepal at Arnos Vale Cricket Stadium in St Vincent on 14 June.”

The USA will be making their debut in the T20 World Cup as co-hosts of the tournament, set to kick off on 1st to 29th June 2024. A portion of the event, including the semifinals and finals, will be held in the Caribbean.
