Champions League sign ‘€500m’ deal with Qatar Airways to become official airline partner

Uefa, European soccer’s governing body, a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Qatar Airways that sees the national flag carrier become the official airline of the elite Champions League club competition.

Qatar Airways replaces Turkish Airlines in the airline category for Champions League, ending a relationship that has run since in 2022.

This latest agreement sees Qatar Airways strengthen its ties with Uefa, having previously served as a partner of the men’s European Championship in 2020 and 2024. The airline joins the Champions League’s global partner tier alongside Bet365, Crypto.com, FedEx, Heineken, Just Eat Takeaway.com, Mastercard, PepsiCo and PlayStation.

“Qatar Airways and Uefa are united in their passion for sports and global business excellence,” said Aleksander Čeferin, Uefa president.

“This shared commitment is the foundation of our long-lasting partnership as we strive to provide football fans worldwide with exceptional experiences. We are delighted to expand our partnership to another level as we embark on a new era of the Uefa Champions League.”
