One year ago, I announced the relocation of the much-adored Oranjezicht City Farm Market (OZCFM) at the V&A Waterfront – now she is officially opening on Saturday, 6 December 2025.
Construction was slightly delayed, but I am certain that this new venue for the market will be well worth the wait.

The new market remains in Granger Bay just over the road from their previous site (see the location in the construction pic I posted last year). They are now closer to the Cape Wheel.

The new custom-built site is home to over 100 traders and 3500 livelihoods. All of the stalls have received serious makeovers, and some sites have extraction fans for food traders.
It’s been over 12 years since this market has been in operation, and now they are onto their new chapter.
With Cape Town evolving into a tourism magnet, this market (already adored by locals) is sure to impress our international guests, too. Who will be checking out the new market? Please let me know what you think of it once you get the chance to go.
