End of the road for GoTyme Bank and Pick n Pay, the bank plans to introduce Consumer Hubs

GoTyme Bank has announced ambitious plans to roll out Consumer Hubs (branches) across South African malls. The move is part of the brand’s 2.0 strategy to take the brand to another level, grow and solidify its users base.

“As part of its expansion strategy, from March 2026, GoTyme Bank will start rolling out dedicated Consumer Hubs in malls across the country, offering customers enhanced support,” it said. Consumer Hubs will be in addition to the kiosks it already operates in The Foschini Group and Boxer stores.

“From 31 March 2026, the bank’s kiosks will no longer be available in Pick n Pay stores,” GoTyme Bank said.

“The double Smart Shopper points benefit for transactions made with a current TymeBank card at Pick n Pay will also end on 31 March.”

“The footprint we needed when we launched seven years ago is not the same footprint we need today,” said Nolwazi Nzama, executive for customer experience and operations at GoTyme Bank.

“Our customers are banking more digitally and engaging in different retail spaces. We remain committed to being where our customers are.”

“Yes, we are in the process of evolving our brand to reflect our growth, maturity, and focus on customers across the economic spectrum,” she adds.
