South African veteran journalist and political analyst Karima Brown has passed on this morning in Johannesburg.
According to the media reports the talk show host died from COVID-19 related complications on Thursday morning.
Brown was admitted to hospital in February and was receiving treatment for the virus.
“We are enormously proud of the fierce determination she had shown, since her early years, to get involved in bringing about a more just, inclusive, and anti-racist SA. This determination also shaped her fearless approach to journalism. She was driven by a conviction that journalism must be in service of justice,” family statement stated.
The family hasn’t mentioned anything related to the funeral of the broadcast journalist.
