The newly elected Gauteng premier Panyaza Lesufi will unveil his provincial cabinet later today.

Lesufi was elected and sworn in at a special sitting of the provincial legislature on Thursday afternoon in Johannesburg Legislature. he received 38 votes while his counterpart Democratic Allience gautenf Leader Solly Msimang got 22 votes.

The Gauteng ANC leader took over from the outgoing Premier David Makhura, who tendered his resignation on Tuesday. While addressing the house after he was elected, Lesufi said corruption is on his main agenda and they will be no ‘holy cows’. He emphasised that whoever is involved in corruption he will be dealt with accordingly.

We all know that talk is cheap, only time will tell to see if Lesufi can walk the talk. Hopefully, things will change in Gauteng. We looking forward to his 100 days.
