Twitter employees are worried about their future as it is hanging in a balance, they don’t know what’s next.
According to the latest media reports, Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk plan to cut 75% of Twitter’s workforce since he took over the company. Under Musk the social media giant will let go of around 7,600 employees.
The Washington Post states that Twitter already planned to cut around a quarter of its workforce — but leaving a quarter of the workforce is a different situation altogether.
Unlike the previous regime/management at the social media platform, Musk wants to make money by hook or crook from the company hence the job cuts.
Musk took over and become the official owner of the social media platform on 28 October 2022. With job cuts looming, we will see what happens with the company, for now, we just have to wait and see.
