South African’s T20 League and Sky Sports signs five years broadcasting rights deal 

The Betway SA20 has hit the right nerves as the big guns and custodians of cricket are showing the league some love. The soon to launch league has announced a new broadcasting rights deal with [UK] United Kingdom’s finest broadcaster Sky Sports on a five year deal. 

Betway SA20 and Sky Sports have today announced a new five-year rights deal which will see South Africa’s premier T20 cricket league added to their cricket portfolio”, read the press statement. 

“The SA20 is welcomed to Sky Sports as a new leading event on the world T20 cricket schedule, enabling access for both current, new and a younger generation of cricket fans to watch some of the greatest players perform on the global stage.”

Betway SA20 League Commissioner, Graeme Smith said: “We’re delighted to extend the coverage of Betway SA20 to Sky Sports’ extensive fan base. This is a landmark deal which will grow our global footprint ahead of our launch on 10 January.” 

Bryan Henderson, Director of Cricket at Sky Sports says: “We are thrilled to add the SA20 to our portfolio of cricket rights. We believe it will be a terrific competition with some of the best English players involved.” 

Sky Sports is known for its innovation and premium content producer. They create award-winning original content, produce the biggest live sporting events, and they provide free access to news and the arts. 

The Sky Sports will also broadcast the 3 England Men’s ODI’s taking place in South Africa on the 27th and 29th of January, and 1st February.
