Digital advertising market is shifting to Amazon and TikTok says Google executives

Google executives are worried that they’re losing digital advertising market share revenue to new entrants Amazon and TikTok. These two brands continue innovating and throwing whatever they have to be on top in the tech world, ultimately the goal and the prize is the digital advertising market. 

It’s true when they say you can’t be a market leader forever, one way or the other your business will be disrupted, to stay ahead of the curve or on top, every brand has to constantly innovate.

“I would not say Google search ads are a must-have for any advertiser,” said Jerry Dischler, vice president for Google’s advertising products, in testimony Tuesday during the federal antitrust trial against the company. “We are losing share to other new entrants” including TikTok and Amazon, he said.

Alphabet executives testified as part of a federal antitrust trial with the lawmakers.
