Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s newest national carrier has signed a three-year deal agreement with Accenture to help establish it’s technological foundation and capabilities, as part of the carrier’s strategy to become the world’s first digitally native airline.
According to both parties, the collaboration will enable Riyadh Air to utilise cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver a seamless and technologically advanced experience for both passengers and employees.
Under the agreement, Accenture will set up Riyadh Air’s cloud-only infrastructure, cybersecurity capabilities, managed services and operations ahead of the planned launch of the airline’s commercial operations in 2025.
“As a digitally native airline, Riyadh Air will be at the forefront of innovation and technology, allowing us to deliver world-class service to our guests,” said Riyadh Air’s Chief Financial Officer, Adam Boukadida.
“Accenture is pivotal in enabling Riyadh Air’s cloud-first strategy, and our unique architecture will ensure that our technology stack is future-proof and remains legacy-free. It also will be built and supported with the highest level of cybersecurity and automation in mind from its inception,” Boukadida added.
