Spanish LaLiga and Uber Eats announces a new sponsorship deal

LaLiga, Spanish football leagues has announced a new partnership with food delivery platform service Uber Eats until the end of the 2026/27 campaign. As part of the deal and agreement, Uber Eats customers can earn exclusive experiences, benefits and official LaLiga merchandise.

The food delivery platform to have a presence on the league’s digital platforms and signage in stadiums. Uber Eats will also become sponsor of the Spanish top-flight’s ‘Giveaway of the Matchday’ award for the best assist

“The alliance with Uber Eats is a natural partnership for us, the gastronomy-football combination is and will be one of the keys to this sport in Spain,” said Jorge de la Vega, chief executive of LaLiga. “We are happy about the arrival of Uber Eats and we trust in breaking barriers together with them in the coming seasons.”

“Through this agreement with LaLiga, we want to go further and offer our users access to new football-related experiences and the best selection of restaurants and supermarkets through our platform,” added Ricardo Pabón, marketing director of Uber Eats in Spain and Portugal.

According to SportsPromedia, Uber Eats was previously the title sponsor for French soccer’s Ligue 1, paying €17 million (US$18.5 million) to the league last season. It has now been replaced by McDonald’s, which has taken over the rights for an annual fee of €20 million (US$21.8 million).
