LIV Golf and Rick Shiels Media announce strategic partnership to boost reach

LIV Golf has announced a partnership with the media production company of YouTuber Rick Shiels, the world’s most-followed golf content creator. Golf circuit agrees multi-year strategic partnership with Rick Shiels Media, the 38-year-old will serve as a LIV Golf ambassador.

Shiels MEDIA will produce content at all 14 LIV Golf League events, including signature series such as Break 75, 10 Shot Challenge, 5 Man Scramble and 2 v 2 Matches. Exclusive content will feature LIV players, teams and courses and be shared across Shiels’ YouTube and social media.

A qualified PGA professional, Shiels launched his YouTube channel in 2012 and now has 2.93 million subscribers, making it the world’s largest golf channel. Since its launch, the channel has generated more than 935 million total views with over 20 million hours watched last year alone.

Shiels has already collaborated with several LIV players, including Bryson DeChambeau, Sergio Garcia and Iain Poulter, while the likes of England soccer captain Harry Kane have also featured on his channel.

“Rick’s creativity and passion for the game align perfectly with our mission to grow the sport and connect with a broader audience,” said Adam Harter, LIV Golf chief marketing officer.
