Users of Gmail struggled to log on into their accounts over the weekend while some users experienced “misclassification of emails in their inbox and additional spam warnings.”
Google acknowledged the outage and later release a statement giving the version of the events related to the outage.
“We are aware that some Gmail users are experiencing misclassification of emails in their inbox and additional spam warnings. We are actively working to resolve the issue. As always, we encourage users to follow standard best practices when engaging with messages from unknown senders.”
Good news: the company annouced it’s fixed Gmail issues with spam and misclassification, everything is back to normal, “fully resolved for all users.”
The company also said that it will “publish an analysis of this incident once we have completed our internal investigation.”
