A Risky Game: How FIFA World Cup 2026 Led to Mass Corporate Data Leaks
Although the tournament itself took place in North America, Asia’s massive football fan base created the perfect conditions for data leaks. Fraudsters are capitalizing on football fans by creating fake streaming platforms and malicious Android applications that steal saved passwords and account credentials directly from browsers. Criminals are also setting up fraudulent websites, as well as sending phishing emails to company employees disguised as gifts, promotions, and office betting pools. “During major global events, the corporate security perimeter is under huge stress,” said Francis Yeoh, Country Director at SearchInform Malaysia. “Employees access streaming websites from corporate devices to watch matches...

Artificial Intelligence Done Right: How a payroll platform built an AI assistant that its customers can trust
Generative AI can be a powerful business knowledge service, saving considerable time for employees. Yet, concerns grow around AI accuracy and how it handles sensitive information. According to a 2025 KPMG survey, only 46% of company workers trust AI, and that proportion is shrinking, especially since 56% say they are making more mistakes because of AI. Despite such growing doubts, the technology can be an exceptional information source and time-saver, especially for sensitive, technical, and contextual queries. A South African payroll platform developed these advantages, using AI to provide detailed and contextual information for customer employees and payroll teams. Payroll staff...

Spain wins the soccer World Cup and Denies Messi One More Historic Moment
Messi had carried Argentina back to the final with eight goals and several decisive performances throughout the knockout stage. The 39-year-old entered the championship match with an opportunity to add another honor to a career that already included the 2022 World Cup title, eight Ballon d’Or awards and virtually every major individual prize in the sport. Spain never allowed him to seize it. Its midfield controlled possession while its defenders closed the spaces Messi typically exploits between the lines. Argentina spent long stretches without the ball and managed only two shots, neither of which tested Spain’s goalkeeper. Emiliano Martínez repeatedly...
