Voodoo, French Mobile Gaming firm Acquired Beach Bum, Israeli Game Studio

French company Voodoo bought Beach Bum, a game studio based in Israel. The company specialised in card games and tabletop. 

The details of the deal are not clear as they’re in both cash, shares and some retention bonuses. A reliable souce told TechCrunch, “Voodoo could be paying a few hundred million dollars in total. Beach Bum has generated $70 million in revenue over the past 12 months, so that gives you an idea of the size of the deal.”

some of popular games produced by Voodoo includes Helix Jump, Crowd City, Paper.io 2 and Hole.io. The gaming company classified themselves as both game developer and publisher. What makes Voodoo special is because it partner and collaborate with other games studios. 

Tencent and Goldman Sachs are some of the few companies invested in Voodoo and its current market cap is sitting at €1.7 billion (nearly $2 billion).
