Canva has 65 Million Users, Now the Company is Worth $40 Billion

Canva has reached 65 million people from 190 countries designing in Canva each month. The users have created more than 7 billion designs

Canva’s co-founder and CEO Melanie Perkins said, “Back in 2012, we set out with the crazy big goal of empowering the whole world to design. We believed that design was something that should be accessible to everyone, not just a privileged few. It shouldn’t matter where you live, your socioeconomic status, or even your computer experience — design should be accessible to everyone.”

In a statement the company said their rapid growth wouldn’t have been possible without the support of its users.

The company said they’re excited to announce that we’ve made some great progress on both Step 1 and Step 2 in the past few weeks.

Perkins said, “there have been so many people who have contributed throughout Canva’s journey — from recommending us to their friends and colleagues to sharing Canva in their classroom, to our incredible team who have helped to build our product and company, and the many investors who have supported Canva’s growth and development over the years.”

Canva is now valued at $40 billion USD, thanks to some world-leading investors who want to support us on our mission to empower the world to design.

We have committed 30% of Canva’s value to be used as a force for good to contribute to the world.

“Solve customer problems and make sure that the customer is representative of a large market and then you will have a pretty good formula”, adds Melanie.

Canva said they now have more than 130,000 nonprofits on their Nonprofit Program, where they give away Canva Pro for free.
