Basketball poster boy LeBron James joins forces with crypto platform Crypto.com on a multi-year partnership deal with the main focus on the decentralised Web3.
The deal seeks to benefit students linked with the LeBron James Family Foundation’s I PROMISE’ programme. They will offer access to tools and resources needed to succeed in Web3 initiatives.
What Web3 is all about?
Web3 is based on blockchain certification, incorporating concepts such as decentralisation and token-based economics. The concept wants to deliver a more ‘fair and equitable’ internet that is owned by builders, creators and users.
Speaking about the new partnership with with the crypto platforms said both brands are aligned and his looking forward to work with the Crypto.com.
“Blockchain technology is revolutionising our economy, sports and entertainment, the art world, and how we engage with one another. I want to ensure that communities like the one I come from are not left behind,” said James.
“Crypto.com and I are aligned on the need to educate and support my community with the information and tools they need for inclusion. I’m looking forward to working with them to bring these opportunities to my community,” he added.
