Premier League to Award four-year licence to produce blockchain, web3 and NFT products

Premier League venture into web3, metaverse and NFT Non Fungible Tokens. 

The biggest league in the world is set to sign an NFT deal worth UK£434 million. 

According to the Daily Mail, the league has shortlisted four blockchain companies for its official non-fungible token (NFT) licence. 

The shortlisted companies are Sorare, Candy Digital, Dapper Labs and ConsenSys. 

Sportspromedia reported, Dapper Labs already has deals in place with the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the National Football League (NFL), each reportedly worth UK£15 million (US$20.3 million) a year. 

Candy Digital has an NFT partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB).

The premier league is expected to make the announcement soon on which company got the deal.
