Dineo Ranaka and Sol Phenduka are the new presenters of the Kaya 959 breakfast show. The move comes after months and weeks of speculation on who will take over the station weekday’s morning radio show.
Both co-hosts have replaced radio veteran Thomas Msengana and comedy legend Skumba Hlophe. A lot of radio fans have been asking… why the radio station is making such changes while the two hosts have chemistry and are connecting with the Afropolitans in the mornings.
One of our reliable sources told TechDailyPost, that advertisers were not happy with the audiences that both Msengana and Hlophe were bringing to the stations. As a result, the station’s management decided to make such changes and replace them with Dineo and Phenduka because they want to appeal to the young adults and youth culture.
Since the previous management regime of KAYA FM left, the station has changed its focus from AC – Adult and Contemporary content to YC – Youth Culture.
