Its kind hard to find or tell good news about technology space as the majority of tech companies are experiencing tough economic climate and slow growth.
One of those companies that is going through the most is the streaming service Sling TV, which reported a decline in subscribers during the 2nd quarter of 2022 with the net loss of 55 000.
“The decrease in net Sling TV subscribers was primarily related to higher subscriber disconnects following seasonal sports activity. We continue to experience increased competition, including competition from other subscription video-on-demand and live-linear OTT service providers,” the company wrote.
Sling TV is not only streaming service company that is going through a turmoil, earlier this winter we saw streaming service powerhouse Netflix losing a huge number of subscribers.
The reason for the decline, is the current negative economic climate conditions and tight competition from other streamers suck as Disney+, Hulu, Amazon Prime Videos and others.
