Amazon joins a list of tech companies to shed and cut jobs. According to reliable sources, the company announced that they asked managers to inform the employees that their jobs are on the line.
They have two months to find another role inside the company or accept a severance package and leave the company.
The company’s spokesperson says they will continue watching the trends and economic climate in order to make the necessary adjustment.
“We remain excited about the future of our larger businesses, as well as newer initiatives like Prime Video, Alexa, Grocery, Kuiper, Zoox, and Healthcare,” spokesperson on Amazon Group.
“Our senior leadership team regularly reviews our investment outlook and financial performance, including as part of our annual operating plan review, which occurs in the fall each year. As part of this year’s review, we’re of course taking into account the current macro-environment and considering opportunities to optimise costs.”
There’s a double standard going on here, Amazon founder and chairman in a recent interview with Cable News Network – CNN, said he wants to donate his billions to charity, so why not take some of the money goes back to staff members?
Anyway, it’s his money, he can do whatever he wants.
