CliffCentral is moving from Rivonia to a new location – endings and beginnings

New year, new location, the much loved online media company CliffCentral is moving from Rivonia, Johannesburg to a yet to be revealed location. The station has been broadcasting from Rivonia, 18 Wessel Road, Sandton since inception almost nine years ago. Now, the platform continues with its pioneering spirit and expanding its operations into bigger things.

Gareth Cliff, co-founder of the station and the host of the Gareth Cliff Show mentioned on his social media platform that his baby is relocating soon.

GC tweeted: “This is where it all started almost 9 years ago. When I left 5fm to pioneer online media with @CliffCentralCom everyone thought I was mad. 20 million podcast downloads later we’re moving to new premises #nextlevel We can’t to wait to share with you what’s next. Watch this space!”

Cliff is yet to reveal where the station will be based but he mentioned on his morning show that they’re building new studios somewhere around North of Johannesburg. We just have to wait a little bit longer for the BIG REVEAL… Are you ready?

Back story: Gareth Cliff, media personality and entrepreneur took the plunge and left traditional radio to pioneer online media and podcasting. Cliff together with radio stalwart and co-founder Rina Bromberg took their last penny and co-founded their own streaming platform CliffCentral.com

For both, innovating the platform gave them not only creative control but also offered opportunities to young South Africans.

“When we started CliffCentral.com in 2014, hardly anyone even knew what a podcast was. Now, millions of downloads later, we’re converting more and more people every day, because podcasting is convenient, easily accessible, and it goes where mainstream radio cannot – both in terms of depth of discussion and agenda,” said Cliff.

Exciting times ahead for CliffCentral.com, no more bullsh!t
