Hisense and NBT Announce Partnership to Bring FAST & AVOD Content to Millions via the VIDAA Platform

Hisense, a global leader in consumer electronics and smart home appliances, and NBT, a rapidly growing FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) and AVOD (Advertising-Based Video on Demand) platform, are proud to announce a groundbreaking global partnership. Live from the  May 8th 2025, NBT’s diverse array of channels and content is now  available on the VIDAA platform, accessible through Hisense Connected Smart TV’s  and over 400 other leading smart TV brands that use the VIDAA operating system: including Toshiba and others.

This strategic alliance will bring free, high-quality entertainment to millions of viewers across the globe, offering content without subscriptions or hidden fees. The rollout will span across key regions. In South Africa the NBT application is found on the home page on Vidaa 6 and above, and in other regions including , Asia Pacific, Latin America, Brazil, Western Europe, West Asia, Mediterranean and Eastern Europe the NBT app can be found on the Vidaa App store.

South African executive Robin Mabunda is leading the charge in content acquisition and distribution.

NBT’s platform is powered by OTTera and is home to a wide selection of FAST channels, including Reuters News, Impact Gospel, Kidz Bop, Drool, Dark Matter. Furthermore, the NBT platform has a wide selection of video on demand content from Dooya, Amagi and other content partners, offering genres that range from documentaries, movies, comedy series to lifestyle and reality TV, all curated to serve a global and culturally rich audience.
