Tshwane FM confirm its continued role as the Official Media Partner of the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Arts Festival 2025, taking place from 11 – 13 September 2025 at the TUT Faculty of Arts and Design. This is the second consecutive year of this partnership, which reflects the station’s commitment to showcasing innovation, creativity, and youth culture in the capital city.
The TUT Arts Festival is a premier platform that brings together students, academics, alumni, and the broader public to engage with a vibrant three-day programme. The festival will feature theatre productions, dance performances, poetry, music ensembles, film screenings, design and art exhibitions, fashion showcases, interactive technology demonstrations, wellness activations, and community engagement projects.
This year, Tshwane FM’s footprint at the festival grows significantly with a larger stage and extended broadcast presence. The station will deliver live shows, in-depth interviews, unplugged performances and curated DJ sets.
Complementing the live stage, Tshwane FM X-Tra will expand the festival’s digital reach. By curating behind-the-scenes coverage, streaming highlights, and producing exclusive online features, Tshwane FM X-Tra will ensure that festival content resonates with audiences beyond Pitori, thereby reinforcing the “From Pitori to the World” campaign.
Importantly, this partnership aligns with Tshwane FM’s 21st anniversary celebrations, themed ‘Unlock the City,’ which will be embedded into the festival experience, reinforcing the station’s role as Cap City’s No. 1 youth radio brand.
Tebogo Magubane, Station Manager for Tshwane FM, said:
“The renewal of our partnership with the TUT Arts Festival demonstrates the strength of collaboration between the station and its community. As Tshwane FM marks 21 years of broadcasting, this moment allows us to celebrate our journey while creating new opportunities for young people to be seen, heard, and connected. With a bigger stage, a stronger presence, and the presence of Tshwane FM X-Tra’s digital storytelling, we are committed to delivering an unforgettable festival experience that reflects the creativity of Pitori and its people.”
We look forward to interacting with students, staff, alumni, partners, and the broader community at this year’s festival — a celebration of heritage, innovation, and artistic excellence.
