Naomi Osaka announced that she’s leaving Evolve, the company she co-founded with her longtime agent, Stuart Duguid. The two also co-founded a TV production company called Hana Kuna in partnership with Lebron James and Mavrick Carter Springhill production. With the current split, still unclear what happened between the two… Is true grass is not always greener on the other side but hey, its worth a try!
In a statement on social media, tennis sensation wrote: “Hi everyone, writing this to say starting in the new year I’ll be parting ways with Evolve,” wrote Osaka. “It’s been a great run and I’m so grateful for all the memories we shared.”
“When I make my decision on where I’ll go next, you’ll hear it from me. Thank you for supporting me always and I’m so excited for the year ahead!”
Now the tennis star is back at IMG, her former agency. Tennis star was last represented by IMG from 2016 to 2022 but moved on to start her own agency, which she recently left.
With that being said, by look of things, Evolve, the agency is currently doing well because they are attracting big talent and names in the business of tennis including Aryna Siarhiejeŭna Sabalenka, a Belarusian professional tennis player. She is the current world No. 1 in women’s singles by the WTA, and is a former No. 1 in doubles.
Who knows maybe she can’t stand working with her competition, not good for her peace of mind!
