According to a news report from Bloomberg, Apple has now dropped most of the personal audio products from competing brands at its retail locations.
The brands affected include Sonos, Bose, and Logitech, which have all been stocked by Apple for quite some time. Their products have also been removed from the tech giant’s online platform, which currently only carries a Philips conference room speaker as the sole third-party audio device offered. There’s no official statement from Apple to explain the new move, but rumors suggest that the company is intending to launch its own audio hardware during the upcoming “Hi, Speed” event on October 13.
Of course, the Apple-owned Beats brand is still available both online and at its physical stores.
