There’s no Job Security anymore in Private and Public Sector writes Rethabile Mohlala

REAL TALK: A friend of mine told me that he lost his Job, I said sorry about that. I told him/her that everyone is going to lose their jobs, if you havent yet know that is coming, is just a matter of when. There’s no Job Security anymore in private and public sector or government.

People in government think their safe, bullsh!t, here’s what’s happening the current government is corrupt and stealing money from the poor… the country will face a Tax Revolt soon, a situation where the rich and middle class Stop paying taxes given the current wastage, eventually the government will run out of money to pay public servant and run the country. I’m not a Futurist but watch what is going to happen in South Africa, the rich and middle class are not idiots, they’re observing on what’s unfolding.

As we speak, the Youth Unemployment Rate in South Africa is averaged 54.21 percent from 2013 until 2021, reaching an all time high of 64.40 percent in the second quarter of 2021 and a record low of 48.80 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014.

South Africa Youth Unemployment Rate

Writing in his weekly open letter to the public in previous occasion, President Cyril Ramaphosa said that creating more opportunities for young people, and supporting young people to access these opportunities, is the government’s foremost priority.

“Everything that we do as a government contributes towards improving the lives of young people,” he said. “Tackling youth unemployment requires accelerating economic growth, particularly in labour-intensive sectors, and building the capability of the state to fulfil its developmental role.”

South Africa's youth unemployment crisis - a ticking time bomb -

Ramaphosa said that high unemployment would be dealt with through a series of targeted interventions, including the establishment of a National Pathway Management Network, ‘SA Youth’, to make it easier for young people to view and access opportunities and receive active support to find pathways into the labour market.

These are among the priority actions of the Presidential Youth Employment Intervention, which was launched just weeks before the country entered a national lockdown last year and which is now entering full implementation, he said.

“The Presidential Youth Employment Intervention was built on the understanding that to address the youth unemployment crisis requires innovative thinking and strong partnerships across society. Its ultimate objective is to find models that work, whether in skills development or active labour market policies, and to scale these models rapidly to reach as many young people as possible.

Business confidence is in (extremely) short supply

“Most importantly, it recognises that young people must be at the centre of any effort to boost youth employment. Young people are our greatest asset, and our greatest weapon in this fight,” he said.

Cyril Ramaphosa lied to the South African Youth, none of the staff quoted above saying happened.

SA youth are on their own, the corrupt government think of them when they needs votes for the elections. Apart from that, ANC corrupt officials are happy to lining up their pockets with tenders and looting of states funds.

The solutions to these problems is for young people to have a self believe, start their own businesses and companies in large numbers and scale, invest in themselves. Lastly to anyone and most importantly the South African youth they need to pay attention to their Talents and Gifts and start their businesses around that and find a way to monetise their gifts. If not, Sh!t is Going to Happen and this is just the beginning.
