Shopify Join Forces with Linktree to Create Storefronts for Users

It seems like every social media or tech platform likes to work with e-commerce retails platform Shopify.

Shopify is partnering with Linktree, an Australian link-in-bio startup, so that creators can launch virtual storefronts on their personalized landing pages.

Linktree said the integration will help its users boost discovery of their latest products and promote holiday discounts to drive more sales.

“We are excited to welcome Shopify to our ever-expanding list of Linktree functionalities that enable users to streamline shopping, better connect with audiences and ultimately, drive more purchases,” said Alex Zaccaria, co-founder and CEO of Linktree, in a statement.

“Linktree intends to integrate more platforms relied on by creators to monetize and run their online business,” adds Alex.

According to The Information publication, at least four companies in The Information’s Creator Economy Database offer personalized landing pages that contain multiple links. Their services address a major limitation of most social media platforms: Users can only put one link in their bio. But it’s a feature a social network such as Instagram could easily add in the future.

To bolster their businesses, startups in this niche are adding more ways for creators to make money, such as e-commerce offerings and tipping.

The feature is available now for free to all Linktree users. Linktree says that the partnership with Shopify allows creators to grow while connecting to global audiences.
