Truth to be told, as a cricket fan it’s hard to watch the Proteas, the South African cricket team play. One needs a bottle of whisky and gin on the side, it’s hard to watch the match with a sober minds.
Always, the bowlers alway delivers with the ball unfortunately the batting order lineup always struggle to face Indian bawlers, I don’t know its because of self doubt or lack of talent. I still don’t get it why David Miller and Andile Phehlokwayo is not part of the test team.
Since I started watching the proteas lately, the team struggle to reach 200 especially against the best best teams in the world. The team struggled with the last time English cricket team was here, they’re doing the same with the current test series against India.
To be honest its hard to tell if the proteas will win the current series given the way the team plays. I was hoping that the team can level the series now at the Wanderers, Johannesburg and have have a showdown and winner takes all in Newlands, Cape Town.
If you ask me where I stands at the moment, I have no idea because the current performance of the team is disgraced and shameful to say the least. I don’t see the team improving anytime soon until the selectors can bring in new team altogether.
I hate to say this however, the current squad is not cutting it, if you ask me. The team lacks fighting spirit and the majority of players are full of self doubt despite being at the apex of world test cricket with the number one test cricket team in the world, India. Boy what kind of motivation do you need if that alone can’t inspire you as a professional cricket player.
