Given the rise of Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs), Discord has become the platform for NFT enthusiasts to converge and make use of.
The social audio and chat platform is currently testing new features it plans to launch very soon. The company is aware that as servers grow, things can get unwieldy since the majority of the platform users are chatting live and all at once.
How will the new feature operate?
According to the company, the first new feature gives servers a forum-like channel as a hub for “more organised conversations.” They will also test a new homepage style feature that will collect hot topics.
Discord is testing new automated tools that bring some of the functionality communities to get with third-party mod tools in house.
Rick Ling, Discord Group Product Manager said, “We think about Discord like a growing neighbourhood and have to design for all the shapes and sizes of communities that call Discord home — from small friend groups to music, gaming, or education communities with thousands to hundreds of thousands of members,” he told TechCrunch.
