DocuSign appoints former Google executive Allan Thygesen as new CEO 

DocuSign has appointed Allan Thygesen as the new chief executive officer (CEO) effective from 10 October. 

Thygesen joins the e-signature business after he spends some time at Google in charge of a $100 billion advertising revenue business. 

Maggie Wilderotter acting CEO of DocuSign says Thygesen comes with a wealth of knowledge in the advertising world and is the right man for the job at hand.

“He is a customer-focused innovator with deep experience in e-commerce, the digitalization of business, and leading high-growth scale organizations. The Board believes that Allan is the right leader to help DocuSign continue to capture the massive market opportunity that lies ahead,” she said in a statement. 

Deloitte’s latest data reveals that DocuSign is the clear e-signature market leader with a reported 75% market share. The company is followed by the likes of Adobe sign and HelloSign from Dropbox.
