Despite crypto downturn some companies are making moves in the space for future uptakes. Crypto exchange Coinbase has expanded its relationship with Borussia Dortmund, the German football giant.
What dos the contract entails?
- Coinbase secures branding on perimeter of Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park stadium, as well as on digital advertising and activations for and with fans on social media and digital channels.
- Company to engage with supporters through hospitality sweepstakes set to launch in February, including the chance to win VIP tickets and other prizes.
Having initially partnered up last July, Coinbase has already assisted in providing crypto education for Dortmund employees across numerous departments.
“The crypto world offers exciting opportunities, and it is important for us to work with a trustworthy partner in this promising field,” said Borussia Dortmund managing director Carsten Cramer.
“The granting of the license by the ‘BaFin’ is the clear signal for us as BVB to now have such a partner at our side in a segment that is still very new and often unclear to non-insiders. We are therefore delighted to partner with Coinbase as the responsible, secure and standards-compliant global platform for crypto trading.”
