The Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Mumbai Indians has signed a sponsorship deal with Slice, financial technology firm as a new headline sponsor.
Mumbai cricket team is considered and ranked as the number one franchise in the IPL with the brand value of US$70.3 million by Brand Finance.
IPL is one of the biggest tournament in cricket calendar and the showpiece attract a lot of sponsorship than any event.
Slice will takeover and replaced Samsung on three years deal as a new principal sponsor. Unfortunately financial terms of the deal we’re not disclosed.

A spokesperson for the Mumbai Indians added, “We wanted to partner with a brand with whom we shared common values. We both share the vision of offering our fans a world-class experience with the drive and enthusiasm to be the best.”
Slice was established in 2016 and soon after launch it reached a ‘unicorn’ status after raising US$220 million in its series B funding round led by Tiger Global and Insight Partners.
