The global covid 19 pandemic was a gift and curse to some people, the smart ones used that period to innovate and to imagine their better tomorrow for the better. Truth be told the lockdowns gave birth to a lot of brands and products across the African continent and the world.
Carol Bouwer, entrepreneur and television producer seize the moment during the pandemic and launched a range of hand-crafted bags and perfume ‘JUST MINE’ alongside her business partner Ntsoaki Ledimo.
“JUST MINE’ was created at the very heart of the global lockdowns and it is then that both Carol and Ntsoaki felt women need to connect the most. This message is what they shared at the back of the first 200 bottles and will remain for the first 500 as a reminder of what we went through together.”
Carol’s handbag website reads, “showcasing the best in African raw materials while ensuring the highest standards and conservation adherence at all times.”
Both products handbags and perfume are available in their online store, on both respective websites.
The Back Story about Carol: If you’re not the children of the 90s and early 200s, you might be thinking and asking yourself who the fu%k is Carol? In the 90s Carol was a household name in entertainment hosting television shows like Buzz, a dating show and acting on the real Generations not the current one but the real one. She later empowered herself and started a production company, Carol Bouwer Productions producing shows like ‘Motswako’, produced and hosted by her.
Later on the TV show ‘Motsawko brought in different presenters like Mapseka Mokwele and Penny ‘Fy One’ Lebyana. She’s also in the mining business in South Africa and Australia, annually she hosts a Women empowerment seminar called ‘MBOKOTO’… She’s the real deal and powerhouse. She was Bonang and Kim K of South Africa… damn I sound like a revisionist history, anyway you get my point.
